TV55 was established in October 1988 as a low power television station in Jasper, Alabama. Broadcasting on UHF channel 55 and on Charter Cable channel 10 serving 250,000 households in all of Walker and Winston Counties and portions of Jefferson, Cullman, Fayette and Tuscaloosa counties, TV55 telecasts 24 hours a day, concentrating on local programming.  Live programming consists of talk, trade, audience participation and religious programming.  TV55 also brings our viewing audience replays of local high school and the University of Alabama sports and full coverage of political events during election season.  TV55 is affiliated with Golden Eagle Broadcasting, Daystar, and World Harvest Television.  TV55 is locally owned and operated by Combs Broadcasting Inc. and is a member of the Alabama Broadcasters Association and the National Broacasters Association .
